Getting started

  1. Create your profile. We give you a starting daily added-sugar budget based on a few basics. You can change it any time.
  2. Log what actually has added sugar. Soda, candy, sauces, cereal, sweet coffee, etc. Just type the grams/oz of added sugar or search the food and tap add.
  3. Watch the ring. The ring fills toward your daily limit. When it’s full, you’re “at your limit” for the day. That’s your stop signal.
  4. Check Activity. Movement translates into “sugar credit.” Go for a walk, get a few grams back.
  5. Look for patterns after ~4–6 weeks. You’ll start to see where most of your sugar is sneaking in — the repeat habits that matter.
  6. Review your data. Every week, nosugar shows your total added sugar and highlights your highest and lowest days so you can spot problem spikes.
  7. Export your data. Export your entries weekly or monthly to see long-term sugar habits and how they’re trending.

Habit profile

nosugar looks at your last 6 weeks of logged added sugar and builds a simple habit profile for you: top sugar sources, when sugar shows up (by weekday and time of day), your biggest spikes, and how weekdays vs. weekends are trending over time.

Daily reminders

You can opt in to two gentle daily reminders (for example, late morning and evening) to take 10–20 seconds and log what you had. These are local notifications on your phone, not marketing messages.

90% daily limit warning

When your logged added sugar reaches around 90% of your daily limit, nosugar can send a quick alert. It’s a heads-up so you can make lighter choices for the rest of the day if you want to.

Over daily limit alert

If you go over your daily limit, nosugar can send a one-time alert letting you know you’ve crossed that line. The goal is awareness, not guilt — so you can adjust and stay on track over the week.
